Umbilical cord or intestine?

Hi, please can someone with experience tell me if this duckling just has the umbilical cord attached or if it is the intestine? Many thanks.

Thanks for replying. Sadly I decided to euthanise as he wasn't thriving.
@WeeTors Aww man. That's unfortunate, but from what I've read it happens. Some just won't make it. I would still like to know what the issue was. I wish someone could explain it. I hope the others develop into healthy and productive juveniles, then adults.

I can't say with any certainty, but in the second picture the narrow skinny bit that seems attached to the egg looks like umbilicus while the part attached to the duckling does look more like possible intestine. If I had to guess I'd say it was probably an umbilical hernia. I'm sorry it didn't make it.
 
Umbilical hernias will occasionally have intestine protruding, prognosis is guarded even with surgical intervention and antibiotics, I fixed one in a quail and he did great for 3 days then just died, he likely had other internal issues. Euthanasia is sometimes the best option.
