umm.... HELP!!

Hey guys .. thank you all so very much for all your ideas. I'm sorry I haven't been on to tell you how the meds worked I have been very busy. I am sorry to say that Ebony our sick chick is gone. We had to make the choice we didn't want to. We where in high hopes with the meds due to her moving around more and eating and drinking. She was, or so we thought, was doing better and last week we went out to get that bowling ball sling and we came back to her breathing vary heavy and her head down in her bowl.I new right then that is was time. Now that Ebony is gone we have realized a few things ... One is that we think she has always been sick... We dont think she ever layd eggs! We still get the same amount of eggs! We are also sure now that this wasn't mareks.... But ... No idea what else it was. We where leaning towards a stroke or something. We still try and figure it out. I just wanted to keep you all updated. Thank you again for your responses and ideas. We appreciated it so much

Thanks for the update. You say you're sure now it wasn't Mareks', did your vet test her or something?

Some chooks are prone to heart disease, cardiac arrest and cardiac cancer, there's many things it could be, all with similar symptoms and plenty of atypical symptoms too. Sorry for your loss, but good on you for trying and then realizing when it was time and putting her out of her suffering.
