**Haha! I'm sorry! This is my 3rd post but I need to get my questions answered!**

I was woken up a few nights ago from my blissful sleep to a loud squawk from the Chooks coop!! I ran out an it was midnight to see Pepper (Pullet) sitting in a nest box. I sat with her fir another hour and nothing. When she got up, Nothing! Bumble was asleep on the perch.

What could've happened?!

They may have been tussling on the roosts, and one fell. Then went to the nest box. Hens usually don't lay at night. Do you have a light on 23/7?

If your roosts are lower than your laying boxes, you're going to have problems with the chickens sleeping in the nest boxes. Chickens will jostle for prime roosting spots and will often get pushed off by other birds. The eggs song is not a screech.

There's no lights and Bumble was asleep to one side. Pepper and bumble sleep separately on the Perches as it was a hot night. Her feathers were all spread across the box. The perch is higher than than the boxes.

If all was safe I guess it was just another bump... er squawk in the night.

Did you see any bite marks?
If a rat got in the coop and bite her she could have squawked and left for a better area. Check legs and vent area.
