I've also found ceramic eggs laying in the yard after they had disappeared for a week, till the snake pooped them out.

I don't think a snake could 'poop out' a ceramic egg...and live.
Some can regurgitate them tho.

I sifted through all the bedding twice. Still no sign of the fake eggs. And still no evidence of eggs from my Delaware pullet, even though today’s “butt check” says she should be laying.

I've always thought that if any animal can swallow it, they can poop it out.

I don't know which end of the snake the ceramic eggs came back out of, when I found them in the yard, but at least the snake didn't make it out of the yard before giving the egg back!
