Things you wish you could say

"Scratching an itch that's persisted since I touched an exotic sea sponge at the New England Aquarium in 1993 before being ejected from the building and forced to return home without a penguin figurine from the gift shop, I return to the comfort of my sofa."

Either look after your animals YOURSELF, do not involve me AT ALL, and deal with any consequences of that decision. Or listen to me, cause I do actually know what I'm doing. I'm sick of feeling like you set me up so you can criticize me or make me feel stupid and that I'm at fault when you push me past my limit.

Hi. I would like to ask you a question about animal care, because I truly regard you as a friend, and I also respect the fact that you worked as a vet tech for something like 15 years. But I KNOW what information I need and I don't want to get into big long back and forth with you where you try to analyze my problem, diagnose from afar and tell me everything I've done wrong with my animal up to this point, so would you PLEASE JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION? You know what? Never mind. We're going to the vet. You're free but you're not worth it.

I am wide awake and can stay awake for another hour and a half.

I know that feeling. During the winter, I start feeling sleepy as early as 6PM. It's purely because it's dark out. The problem is, if I do decide to go to bed that early, I'll just be up at 3AM and have to get up, which means I'll be ready to go to bed at 6 again... Vicious cycle.
