What does everyone do with the eggs that don't hatch? do you cook the infertile ones and crush them feeding them back to the birds, do you feed them to the dog/cat or does everyone just toss them in the garbage or compose?
I feel like not feeding them to an animal is a kind of a waste but I thought I would ask if there was any drawback to feeding them to something. TIA

I suspect that once you pickup a real ripe egg and that sucker sympathetically pops or explodes in your hands, that you'll be able to figure it out on your own. However I feel that the fact that chickens will fight over a rotten egg is plenty of evidence that a hen can't smell squat. :th

I put them in a zip lock bag and put them in the trash can outside. I don't want explosive rotten egg stink smell or to help feed my rat infestation.
