Hello everyone! I hatched a chick 36 hours ago with what appeared to be an unabsorbed yolk sack. (pictures attached from hatch and about 24 hours later).

I have been applying aquaphor and antibacterial ointment in hopes of keeping it moist but clean. It is currently living solo in the incubator.

Is there anything I can do to help this along? I feel bad for it knowing that they are social animals and prefer to be with others but worry about it being pecked and pulled at.

Drying it out with Betadine or alcohol might speed up drying time. The ointments keep it from drying. These chicks can be weaker and may not make it, but I hope that your chick survives.
I will try switching to one or the other! Thanks! I’ve given it yolk and nutridrench to try and help it along, and some crumble.
