Unanswered threads

I agree on the search tool. Sometimes my search here has come up empty so I go to Google or Yahoo or your favorite search engine and type in my key word along with "backyardchickens", and it will bring up a link to an old thread.

I wonder what percentage of those unanswered posts could have been answered if the OP did a search? I would bet it's a very high percentage.

OK their are 30 listings per page
251 pages in 2009 = 7530 unanswered.

this more than likely has change but this gives a good Idea.

29 pages This month alone.. = 870 Unanswered.

3 pages since yesterday .. = 90 Unanswered

buy randomly sampleing the unanswered posts and searching to see if it was answered in another post, and since a lot of the unanswered are BST there is no answer to those, so.... If you dont like my method, sample your own 100 and see what you come up with, if we get 1334 members to do 100 then all that will be left is BST, and maybe we can get the mod squad to delete those then there will be NO unanswered posts.
