Unbelievable itching!

What bites and leaves a tiny mark but is unbelievably itchy? How can I get rid of the bug? My lower legs are killing me! Chiggers?

Yep chiggers will do it, i rub my legs down with rubbing alcohol to help stop the itching.
Sand fleas will do the same thing.

Cut the brush and grass back to reduce the environment for chiggers.

garlic is the best thing for the itch. when i go to the garden i spread lemon or lime juice on legs and arms or mosquito repelant

We had the yard sprayed with pesticide and cut the grass down very short. We haven't had a problems since. I'm not normally one to use pesticides, but my little one also sat in a fire ant mound so we decided it was time.
