GOOD FOR YOU!!!!!! We shot a possum yesterday too. It got to a nest and got some of the eggs so I put the trap out and now its dead

Nice shot! That is a hard thing to do in the dark. Especially if you are holding a flashlight.

It was funny, I had a headlight on and the rifle had a scope. So I had to locate the possum first then adjust my head light so it would shine right while looking through the scope then relocate the possum looking through the scope.
I know I'm a big dork bragging about my first possum

Oh, good! You're an expert! I now live in Southern Humboldt too! You can come and shoot our possums and raccoons when they discover our coop (My dad built it so we moved it up here from Windsor, Ca) We moved 3 bantams up here, too, and now I'm raising 3 Americauna chicks- or EE's.

I'm trying to make the coop predator-proof by putting it in the donkey pasture. Hope that works!

Of course the donkeys are curious! But get along with the chickens fine... ;-)
