I made a last minute order when i lost my 9 week old blue ameraucana to a blue heron. I ordered 2 blue ameraucana , meal maker and 13 fry pan specials ( 3 reasons safer to ship larger number in the winter, much cheaper changed order from 130 to 94) and i get to help a family. That dads hours were cut way back, 22 y.o. sons hours cut way back as well.they raise 2 steers a year to process and have a large flock of yard birds that provide eggs and meat for them and a couple of their neighbors, they have had outside blood in years and have 40-50 hens, process 4 times a year .the birds look gamey, lots of game bird influence so they are going to grow out to processing age ( they are not meat birds just heavy birds) and choose the best to replace their roosters to improve their flock and process the rest..sincethe 23rds meal makers are all pullets i am keeping her.. i think.

I was very pleased, shipped out monday, tracking said friday i freaked out called my local country postmaster.. they arrived yesterday, by far the healthiest and liveliest i have gotten by mail or locally other than those i hatched.

I ended up with a blue and a splash and an egger ( at least she should resemble my other eggers based on color and what meyers shows)


The fry pan special is a nice assortment although i havent identified all of them. They are all settled in well
