Uncovered Chicken Run Height?

I am building a coop and run for my chickens in my back yard. I am going to be wrapping some metal fencing with chicken wire. The fence is 5 feet tall. The run is going to be roughly 21' x 10'. I have 10 chickens and I feel like it should be plenty big enough. Do I need to cover the run with chicken wire so the chickens don't get out or will they not be able to get over the 5 foot fence?

I would cover it, my girls have there wings clipped and can go about 3ft up, also it would stop predators from above, depending on where you live
