under the coop not in the box

So my chicken has laid 3 eggs in 3 days. These are her first eggs. But she lays them under the coop. The one today was in a corner where it had looked like she had tried to build a nest. But she won't use the nest box. I have nesting material in the boxes and a fake egg. So what else can I do?

What do your nesting boxes look like? Are they quiet, dark, off to the side? Can you add a little piece of material to cover most of the open front?
Also give her some time, mine first started laying under the feeder, in a few days she found a nest box she liked.

the nest boxes are 12 in cube. Filled with hay and paper sheddings.

Can anyone help? She still is laying under the coop.

Give her some time, it's only been a few days. Mine laid under the feeder for probably 4-5 days before deciding that the next boxes I made weren't going to kill her.
Can you make something that looks like this? Nice and private. Mine's standing room only sometimes while the other "fancy" boxes/baskets are ignored.
