I have 1 easter egger who is now seven months. She started laying eggs about a month ago then all of a sudden she wasn't. i could'nt figure this out so i kept watching her for a while and found out that she was laying her eggs under the shed. On day I took a rake and went up under the shed and pulled 18 eggs out.
After that I put up wiring so she could could not get back in there, now it's like all the chickens are mad at me, they all avoid me till its treat time. Now I don't know if I did the right thing or not,
she is not laying her eggs in the coup now either.
Is there some thing else I need to do ?

Thanks

My EEs like to hide away and lay their eggs in a nice quiet place...like the barn garbage can! LOL!

I think there is a guideline for nest to hen ratio and I believe it's one nest box per 4 hens.

You could add some more nest boxes and see if she's more comfy with that. Good luck.
