Welcome To BYC

Can you post a picture of the whole chicken too so we can see what she/he looks like?
Do you know how old the chicken is?

To me, that looks like a puncture wound. Have you checked the chicken over for any other injuries?
Do you free range? Any possibility a hawk, dog or predator could have grabbed it?

The wound look pretty clean. I would still flush it out if you haven't done so and apply triple antibiotic ointment. Check the wound daily, clean as needed and apply your ointment. Watch for signs of infection.

I don't know if she was attacked. I found her wondering the streets a few weeks ago

Use a clean towel, gauze, or paper towel to apply solid, even blood pressure, before bleeding stops. I use Vetericyn Poultry Wound Care Spray to clean and treat wounds 2-3 times a day before the wound is fully healed.

:)Thanks for everyone's help. I have been cleaning it up and adding antibiotic ointment on it. she's a very sweet bird thinking of getting one more so she's not so lonely
