Underbite chick

One of my new chicks has a bit of an underbite. His lower beak is a bit longer than the top. Is this going to cause any problems? I guess he just shouldnt breed, right? thanks!
 
If you take an emory board and work it until it meets up with the upper beak, they should keep eachother down... but I think you're right, he shouldnt' be passing on those genes...

i have a 6 wk old jap. bantam pullet that has a bad overbite too. i didn't know you could file it down. as far as i can tell she still eats and drinks fine.
