I thought I would send a few pics of our trip so you could see our country around here. I guess through your eyes it would look like the old west, and sometimes it is we had to push though 3 herds of cattle up in the mts. it is free range so you have to be on your toes when you are driving. It was only about 5 thousand feet and no snow yet that good ness.

This last pic is near Joseph OR it is a little greener here as you can see.

Such stark beauty. I think it is nice to look at vacationing, but could never live in an area so stark.

Hey all...so the ortho who told me.to.suck it up was quite the opposite as he told me.the MRI was "not favorable". Fracture is healing well...but the cartilage tore from the bone, the bone has deteriorated so much it needs repair...44yo with severe arthritis needs a hip replacement!! He said they can't even do it. By arthroscopic...so he suggested a second opinion and to consider a hydrocortisone shot to buy some time...weeks...months...maybe a yr...ughhhh...

But now can concentrate.on learning to see and quilt I guess...especially since I can't go hang gliding...lol

Wow, that's the pits!

This is just me so take it with a grain of salt... or several grains... whatever makes it palatable. I would check into alternative therapies... different diet, herbs, vitamins... whatever it takes to #1 rebuild bone density and #2 reduce the arthritis.

I don't know particularly whether there are other choices but I would look for them if it were me.

Wishing you the best. Hopefully you're pain free at least part of the time; preferably most of the time.

@Lacy Blues Thx! Am definitely looking into all options. Not.much pain relief. No one wants to order pain meds anymore. I've learned to deal with it the past 10 years...but since the injury it is much worse. So focusing on meditation - which does relax me, learning about yoga. I am limited in upper body but it's something. I've been slowly losing weight...but now have an incentive to truly focus on this and do the little exercise I can do. I can't do anything with affected leg but can work on upper body and try to stay not go.crazy or freak out.

'That is horrible quailtrail.

I have been working on a paper pieced star called Oklahoma (I made a few changes though) I am making out of neck ties, planning on making several star blocks out of neck ties.

Still working on the carpenters wheel too
