fenrosie, That is beautiful hand dyed( pearl cotton ?or floss?) I love it all, I see some great ideas there!

I have almost finished my applique on the center square in my blocks. 8 of them are completed, got 4 to go. Then I can start building the stars.

I think what I want to do is make it brighter as it goes out so that it kind of symbolizes the darkness of slavery and the brightness of freedom.

It is waaaaaay past when I should have been in bed, but I now have 5 blocks completed and the other 7 are more then 1/2 finished.

They are just beautiful! I love how all of the background colors make the foreground just "pop".
