Underground RR Quilt Block

I toned down that obnoxiously loud yellow wool fabric that I made the word block out of. I thought it would tie in better, but it just glared obnoxiously, it is much more subdued now and the remaining word blocks I will use a better colored wool for the letters.

Here is part of my idea for this quilt, sorry Kassaunder but DH picked the carpenters wheel too. The middle two blocks top , bottom and sides will be side by side and the star sashing will go between them and around the outside. I'm' Sorry the photo is not well done it's hard to get to my "Wall" on the sides. katsdar this is how I finished your bow-tie block I hope you like it, I didn't know that you 2 had to take over for plaidbattleaxe, Thank You both for doing this for us.
I have not got the layout right yet that always takes a bit of tweaking for me.

I do like the way you finished the block very pretty, sorry some of you had to rework them

Ladies,

Tell Majack HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Sorry I posted this late
did I tell you gals that the DH hit a deer and now the car is in the shop, yeah, and our truck is down, so my church is letting us use the van Thank God, and then I find my cat Butters looking funny and his tongue sticking out so I rush him to the vet, he has a broken jaw and a sever cut on his tongue, so wiring the jaw and stitching the tongue, I pick him up Thursday when it rains it pours, but least everything can be fixed so it's not too bad,

Thank goodness you had someone to borrow a rig from. Poor kitty...

Majack's birthday was today but she is in bed or climbing her stairs on her way, so when I posted it it was almost over for her

Cat update, his jaw was broken in two places so they wired it together in both places and he had to have his tongue stitched because of the sever (did I spell that right? looks funny) laceration, the vet called and it took about 2.5 hours to fix my boy, wow so they will watch him tomorrow and make sure he is eating and I get him thursday. He will be a house cat for at least 2 weeks and on soft foods for at least a week. Still don't know how he did it, no blood on him so was it a car or the neighbors dog,or did he get kicked by a cow, the big mystery

no, no, no, you birthday wishes are in time! It is now 7.50 am here in the UK on 4 th February and my birthday is tomorrow so it was lovely turning on the iPad today and seeing all your greetings. I do love you ladies. I have a big smile on my face.

Rosie has started a painting group and yesterday was the first meeting, despite icy roads etc. ( We are never prepared for bad weather in this country!). One lady was painting porcelain, another was painting crumpled tissue paper to use on an art quilt and Rosie was painting fabric with Gelli plates....watch some videos on YouTube if you haven't seen this before, Fascinating. The rest of us were attempting to paint paintings! It was just four hours and there were just seven of us but it was a great success. Sunshine and laughter! Here is a picture.

Cats can get this type of injury from a fall too. I hope he is doing better today.
