Underground RR Quilt Block

I was playing around with the fabrics that I have on hand. I discovered that I apparently do not any pale, cream yellow fabric in my stash.

Purples/Lavendars were separated into lights and darks. I apparently do not have enough of the right color values to go together. I did not put my Minnesota Viking Purple fabric in here either. Guess I'll have to go shopping.

Poor you... shopping... for fabric even! Ugh!

Just to be sure, are we sending them in uncut? I think it would be an awful lot to sort if they were already cut. What say you all?

It was very simple to do. It took more time going through my fabric and choosing than putting the block together. I wanted to see different ways you might be able to put them together. This is nice because you aren't matching any seams.

Using the 5" squares for the nine patch and putting them back together turned out to be a 13 1/2" square. Each cut square is 7".

I think uncut would make it easier.

Oohh! Looks very nice! I really like this. I agee. Cut when we get them. Have we decided def on purples? I love purple. But I like any colors. Not too bright though. Like you coldupnorth! Guess I'm gonna HAVE to go get material! What a chore!

Look what I did this afternoon. It is the smallest I've ever done. It is 3.25 inches square.

Nice job Kassaundra! Aren't they fun? I LOVE mini's. Now I just need new glasses so I can see the darned things to put them together. Did you hand stitch it? I don't see how anyone could make a mini on a sewing machine. My minis all have 1/8 inch seams. I think my sewing machine would just punch those tiny pieces down into the bobbin!

Very nice! Never tried mini quilts. Not sure I have the patience.

How about we leave the corner blocks lavender and the centre block creamy yellow but make the other four muted green? It will dilute the lavender colour and add some interest. I will make one tomorrow . Today I have to go to a meeting with Mary, well ok we may be having lunch first!
