I need help understanding some of these codes. I’m in Texas and am PT tested but not AI.
The ones that say call for a permit confuse me.

Call for a permit is at it sounds - the state requires a permit for import, so you need to call and get a permit from them. Usually it's as easy as calling and saying you're going to be importing or sending birds into the state, they'll say okay and ask for the NPIP number, then they'll give you a permit number. Done.

A lot of states do require AI testing now. To ship into those states, you would need to opt into AI testing for your flock along with the PT testing.

If you are NPIP here in the state of Texas when you contact Mr. J.C with your shipping info I believe he does the permit stuff electronically.

I am not sure about how you will go about getting your flock AI tested.
He will know.
