Understanding the concept of "enough" (thought I'd share an epiphany)

Great thought! thanks for posting that. Enough....I never thought about it that way. I am mostly happy so I think that is probably the meaning of MY enough.

Great thread and I hope we will hear from many more BYC'ers who know that they too have enough! My husband and I will never be wealthy beyond wildest dreams and I have no need to be. We work our butt's off and pay our bills and are content with what we have and for us that IS enough!

Thanks for sharing this. I feel I have enough for the most part, there are a few things I'd like to have but am content with what I do have. I guess it goes back to what my Dad always told me, when times are tough you make do with what you have.

I'm sorry your Mom feels that way about you. Maybe one day she will understand. Try not to let that bring you down, as long as YOU understand, that's whats important. I think your Mom has to figure that out for herself.

I could have a lot less and still have enough.

That is a great story

We're about to be "homeless" in a way. The bank is auctioning off our house. We own land, but the new house isn't done. Going to be in a pop-up camper with 3 kids until we get a heatable structure. Our out-of-state family is freaking out. "Oh my god what are you going to do????" We're going to camp, finish our house, and be happy. There are so many people out there now that are living in parking lots! We have our own water and electricity and get to wake up with the roosters every day on this beautiful mountain. More than I ever hoped for

My family did this for about 5 months in the winter and we had more fun then we could have ever imagined.. We too had to move as the landlord sold the house and we had bought some land a few years back and hadnt done anything with it. so we moved the camper in, had the electric turned on and carted water in til we built the well....
