Understanding the concept of "enough" (thought I'd share an epiphany)

I so needed this today! Thank you so much. To much drama with my mother! But I am reading this thinking I have the most incredible loving supportive husband, 5 amazing kids, my dogs my chickens and my goat, living in my fixer upper house in the middle of nowhere and I have never been more content in my life.....I have enough, and more love in my life than I could have ever asked for.

I could have a lot less and still have enough.

Moms want their daughters to have everything dispite what the daughters want. At least my Mom does.

yesterday a wise co-worker told me " there is always never enough money, you just have to adjust and enjoy life!"

I am deciding if I want to be a stay at home Mom - she's right.... even with this great job
it always seems like I have to keep earning when deep down I know I'd be satisfied with less $
and more time to enjoy life and loved ones.

I have always been a simple soul who gets VASTLY more pleasure looking at a sunset
than I would at a spa !

Thanks for posting that story. I was just talking to my 12 year old son about this same topic last night. We made some changes in our life for this year so we could pay off all of our credit card debt and I wanted him to understand that enough is enough. We don't have to keep up with the Jones and if chickens make us happy then there is nothing wrong with that. There are a lot of people out there who don't understand that enough is ok, you don't need more. My husbands family thinks we are crazy, but my mom thinks it is great the way we have simplified our lifestyle.
