Is this normal? đź’€
This is from my chicken who has a cross beak. They don't get shell grit but they get free range (my dirt is the equivalent of river dirt)
Thank you!!

I wouldn't worry about it; the bulk of the poop looks normal, so maybe those were just particularly robust seeds and survived the digestive process (as many have evolved to do). Corn niblets sometimes do the same with me

Thank you so much đź©·

Do you have bird feeders with spills that the chickens can get into? If you can check some feed stores or online, you may be able to buy a small bag of granite poultry grit.

My chickens sometimes get budgie seed as a treat bc they love it. They get a mix between pellets and grain other then that.
They have river sand so I don't think I need grit?

I always throw put some grit even though I have some pebbles in the soil. They take it if they want it, and don’t use a whole lot.
