Chicken with swollen feet

28% protein.
That's way too much protein. Give your hens 16%-18% protein feed.
There's no doubt it has caused gout in your hens feet.

Here's what I feed my chickens, 16% layer crumbles:

The swollen toes do look like possible gout. One of the common causes of gout is feeding too much protein in the diet. Chickens only need between 16 and 20% protein. I would switch the feed right away to an all flock or layer type feed.
If it's gout why don't the rest of my hens have the same thing as her?

There are two types of Gout. Basically, one type that shows exterior swelling in hocks and joints, and another type of gout that is internal and not seen that effects organs.
It's entirely possible that your other birds may have internal damage occurring, hopefully not.

She only has swelling in one foot but I noticed it has gone down some and she limps a little but she isn't really showing any signs for gout.

Her feet are swollen and she has problem with walking, none of my other chickens are having this problem they don't have lice or mites they just have straw in their hut and dirt in their run they free range either in the woods or in the grassy yard.View attachment 4248274
My hen is 7 months old as well and it dealing with the exact same thing. I switched her to a layer feed too early and I think it caused the gout. I thought she was laying like the flock she was raised with but she’s a late layer. Noticed her legs and feet were swollen with no injury’s or bumble foot. So I currently have her in a large dog kennel in our shed. I switched her back to a chick feed with less protein and calcium and have her drinking vitamin water and Tart Cherry. Idk what else to do there’s not a lot of information on how to treat this I’m hoping it’s temporary😕
