I'm so excited/panicking!!!
My broody hen is sat on a friends eggs and they were due Sunday so I lost all hope. One has now started hatching. I have given back her lower box so they are in a raised coop-is that ok?
Also should I leave food and water in there tonight or wait until morning?

Congrats!

Sometimes chicks hatch late, sometimes because they cooled off at some point during incubation.

Chicks should have a secure pen that has easy footing so they can learn to walk well. Make sure the hen won't try and go somewhere they can't follow. Food and water can be given, especially since a broody hen will be hungry after sitting for so long. However, don't leave the water right near the nest, as young chicks can fall into it and drown or become chilled. Let her drink so, and then move it away. The chicks will learn to walk and go over to drink. The yolk will provide them with nutrition for the first couple days.

Good luck!
