(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Two days ago, a random chicken showed up in our backyard. My younger siblings and I chased it out and blocked the bottom of the gate BC we have a big dog.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Only 1 hen
(3) What breeds do you have?
Not sure, I asked my overseas family members who own chickens and she wasn't sure either
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I like chickens, their cute and farmy.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love reading, writting, drawing and cooking
Some of which I am better at than others
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Im the third child of seven children, I still live at home and we own a bully mastiff mix, ex-pig huntering dog who is 15 years old but still would hint down a chicken
.
I care for young children at our local church while their parents go to english class (held at our local church)
I'm a born again Christian of 3years, Baptisted in water and Spirit, I Love Jesus and I love every one of His creations, chickens, sunsets, space, mountains, babies animals, cats etc.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
My older brother loved birds and he used to live poultry and he used this website-he didn't own any chickens at the time but he made many friend.
Why did I join?
I need advice on how to care for this chicken I got. I have to return her to her owners somehow (I'm gonna make missing posters and maybe go door knocking) but in the meant time , I want to keep this sweet little chick safe, healthy and happy.
I much appreciate any help anyone can give
