Unfinished afternoon eggs, young ducks

What is scaring them?
I used to have my big chickens live together with my ducks and the chickens were scaring the ducks so much that 3 ducks had vent prolapse and one even died from it.
The chickens were chasing the ducks around And so when a duck was trying to lay an egg they had to get up and run away from chickens. This caused prolapse and eggs with very thin shells or no shells.
Since then I separated the chickens from the ducks.

Another thing that can cause soft shell is if a duck is deficient in vitamin D3 their body can have trouble using the calcium they take in. One of my ducks was still having soft shell eggs, even after treating with calcium gluconate, So I got a little bottle of liquid D3 for infants and gave her small dosage of that for a while and it helped her.

Good replies here. I just want to add that eggs with thin shells, eggs that are oddly shaped, and eggs laid at weird times, more commonly occur in young ducks! And, ducks might lay weird eggs, or even stop laying, during the colder months. Their age and the time of year may be adding to, or even be the source of, your problem.

Thank you for your reply!
what scares them are predators. Ducks are safe, but sometimes they see a bird of prey. Sometimes my cats cross the fence and they are also concerned about it.
I have been giving vitamin D for about 2 weeks, but I see no improvement. I don't know how long I can take additional vitamin D without overdosing.

Yes, I know that. My Indian Runners rarely have such problems.
Additionally, almost every day I find at least 1 huge egg with two yolks. This egg is not from the same duck. Sometimes it's green and sometimes it's white.
I see that I have to learn a lot about campbell and harlequin 😅

Hello!
I need help. Where I live, laying ducks are not very popular. I didn't find the answer to my question.
I live in Poland. I have a small flock of ducks (Khaki Campbell and Welsh Harlequin). They are young ducks hatched in the spring. They have been laying eggs for 7 weeks. My problem is that my ducks are lose eggs in the afternoon. These eggs are unfinished and have very thin shells. Eggs laid at night have normal shells. The ducks are fed a good layer diet and oyster shells unlimited. They have a large run with grass, fresh bathing water every day, and clean straw in their house every day. They are given layer vitamins. What I can do to stop the egg loss? I only know one breeder of these ducks in my country. I bought eggs from him to hatch my ducks.
I also breed Indian runners duck, but they don't have this problem.
Some days I find 0 lost eggs, and other days I find 1-2, sometimes 5.
I have 10 ducks, and in the morning I find 5-8 normal eggs in their coop. I can't tell if the same ducks always lose eggs. I don't know if a duck that lose egg during the day lays a second, normal egg at night.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong in caring for my Campbell.

Thank you very much for any replies.

I apologize if anything is unclear; I'm using Google Translate.

Greetings to everyone!
How many are drakes? How many are hens?
What layer feed are you using exactly? and what are the supplemental vitamins you are giving them?
