Unfriendly Breeds

ANY breed is capable of having a "bad egg" in the bunch. I was terrorized by a Brown Leghorn roo as a kid. My daughter was attacked by a young RIR roo, and when he was cooked, his brother attacked her too! I have a couple of Marans roos that love to come after me, and it ain't for kisses! So, like I said, there is a possibility in every breed.

While you are researching this answer--- and you see 'flighty' it will indicate a very shy bird that is difficult to have people befriend.

look at the temperement column on the far right. (Although you will find some contradictions there such as 'agressive' and 'docile' listed for the same breed.)

As the other poster said roosters are often not the friendliest.

A lot will depend upon you and the way you care for your birds, and of course if you raised them from chicks or if you obtain them as adults.
