visited here looking for answers to some of my chicken questions, but specifically today I joined to ask about a sore my turkey has on its face.

I have 4 hens right now. Got my first two late summer. Buff and NHR. Both laid an egg a day. 61-66 grams apiece.Usually, overnight. Infrequently, one might not lay overnight but lay late morning. Then just before T-day I got two SLW about 16 weeks old. They are started laying in the 55 gram range. Hopefully, they will lay larger eggs soon.

I have no other pets so these are my babies. They have become quite tame. Before I had to corner them or chase them to get them out of the coop to free range. Now I can walk right up to them and pick them up. Buff and NHR. The SLW were wild. They lady who had them just raises them to sell. So I don't think they had been handle much. They are still a little skittish but getting much better. They are eating together with the other two. So now still two eggs most day. One large from either Buff or NHR and one from SLW. They must be twins as I can't tell them apart at all LOL So I don't know if it's just one laying every other day Or both laying as they please. I know which eggs are my Buff's or NHR.

My other hobbies are not animal related. I love to knit, read, watch documentaries. surf the internet, garden when the ground is unfrozen. Oh I almost forgot quilting but I'm still not totally moved in here yet.

I live in Maine. Western Maine. I have two grown boys. 47 and 41. Youngest has 2 dogs, one cat. Two grandsons. UMSC 9 years. Beware he is listening. He just had to put down his 16 year male Yorkie. Broke our hearts.

I am retired 67. I am/was an RN/LPN for 37 1/2 years. Hemodialysis mostly. I traveled for 6 1/2 years. 12 states. Maine to Cali. Loved it, but missed home.

BTW my name is Bobbi

Oh forgot another hobby. I love to travel. Alaska twice, Hawaii, my son was stationed at K Bay. 1st radio battalion. Canada Calgary, Banff, Jasper area. Much of USA. I think 37 states in all. St Louis arch SF Golden Gate Bridge. White Sands New Mexico. They plow the sand there. LOL Carlsbad Caverns. And many Caverns in the Smokey's Memphis. Worked right down the road from Graceland.

Caribbean, Baltic Cruise, Venezuela, Every NASCAR track except Talledeaga, New Zealand, Churchill Manitoba to see Polar Bears, Australia, China, Japan. Iceland, and probably others I can't think of right now. Oh just remember I went to expo '67 in Montreal I was sixteen. I think that's where my travel addiction first started.
