Unknown age - cockrel or pullet?

Yeah, I agree. Somebody dropped the little dude off at the feed store covered in lice and with an injury on his ear. The previous owner obviously didn't care about him

That is the most upsetting part, an uncaring owner without any care for all the pain the poor thing might be going through. I’m just very glad and touched that you took it in and are giving it a good home! :hugs

Thank you <3 I'm trying to hatch out some bantam friends for him. Most of the bantam eggs didn't take, though. I have 2 eggs left (bantam cochins) out of 12+ (serama and bantam cochins). Hopefully one will end up being a pullet

It's pretty easy to hatch..if the eggs are for sure fertile. ;). Which can be questionable if you buy them shipped..and yes, easy if not bought shipped...so, finding eggs near by ..much easier to hatch. A couple of my past cuties I hatched.

Yeah, mine came from eBay, so that's probably why 10 of 12 or so eggs didn't develop. Hopefully the last 2 survive and hatch because I lost 2 brabanters on day 18-19 of incubation :( poor babies hadn't absorbed their yolks and weren't in hatching position.
