Unknown Black Bantam

This one came from a mixed bantam bin. Can anyone ID the breed and possible gender? He/she is very sweet and mild mannered. I'm praying it's a pullet!

Comb looks very small like a pullets would, breeds a little tougher....

Could you please get photos In better light? I can't see eyes or comb color. How old?? Is she pure black or does she have some other color showing in her feathers? What color legs does she have?

About 5 weeks old. All black feathers with white under her chin. Eyes appear very dark and her comb is black/ light flesh colored. Legs/feet are black.

The white on her chest is just her baby fluff, should be solid black there once she gets all of her feathers in

Looks like one of those American Cemani black fleshed birds that they've been breeding here in the US. they kind of developed like a twin brother to the real thing.

Cemani's are very expensive birds, chances are its a hatchery bird or barnyard mix bird and not an expensive show-type bird

The American version that's been recreated goes for as little as $5 a bird . Saw them for sale for that price on byc.

But do hatcheries and feedstores have them?

I honestly don't know. maybe check with some of the people who are breeding, them they might be able to tell you.
