Unknown Cause of Death

My silkie rooster was found dead but still warm so he was killed recently. He was in a position on his back but more to the side with no puncture marks except for a bit of dried blood on the edge of his foot. He had a fist sized wet spot under his wing and so blood on his beak. There were no feathers around the surrounding areas. I have no clue for sure about what killed him, maybe someone else has an idea?

But why would his feathers be wet? If it wasn't for the wet feathers I'd totally think another rooster did it

Could have gotten into water bowl, pond, or a puddle.
