Unnaturally excited!!

I've been waiting 21 weeks for this day!! 21 weeks to the DAY, I got my first egg from one of my leghorns! That was yesterday and today she graced me with another perfect, little white egg! I think I'm unnaturally excited, it's like I just got grandchickens (except without the rooster ha!)!

She even laid it in the nesting box even before I put out my golf balls. I'm one proud mama!

Congratulations! Nothing like those first eggs! I've had chickens for years and I still get excited when my new pullets lay their first egg!

I got my first egg last Saturday (Sept 3rd). I kinda cheated though and bought some hens (my first) that were already laying
