So long story short I couldn’t leave this Frizzle hen because she looks like a battery hen.
I have heard that Frizzle chickens have delicate and brittle feathers and I was wondering if there is anything else that I need to do different for this hen as she is missing a lot of her feathers and her wing feathers are broken and tattered. Her name is Jane Doe because I don’t know what breed or variety she is :p

Frizzles feathers can be more prone to breakage, but usually it's due to being over-mated or other birds picking on it. Kept correctly they shouldn't just lose feathers. She does not look like a frazzled which would be much worse.

She should regrow some, or all of those feathers. Keep her on a higher protein ration like a non medicated grower to help her make those feathers. Treats of scrambled eggs and cottage cheese will help too.

How old is she? Do you know?

If the feathers are broken they may or may not grow in before fall. It can also depend on her age, but generally all missing feathers are replaced by fall on chickens. She looks more like most have been pulled out.

Poor thing really looks like a plucked chicken. She must of been housed with multiple roosters or one who favored her. Glad you got her out of that situation. I find frizzled birds to be more gentle birds. She looks calm and happy, with good care she should return to being beautiful and soft.

:woot....:goodpost:

@oldhenlikesdogs she is a year old and she was in the isolation stall with 3 cockerels. She is being fed Purina Flock Raiser and I plan to get some Feather Fixer feed for her this Wednesday. I think her face feathers were plucked off.
Oh that poor hen. Why would someone do that to her. She must be so grateful to be out of there. She will recover with time and your great care.
