Unsure if it’s getting enough of what it needs

Hi there. A wild turkey flew into my work’s gated lawn about a month ago. I work in what most would consider an urban location and no one here knows much about turkeys.

It doesn’t seem to be bothered by us walking in and out of our area and everyone leaves it alone. Once I tried to open the gate to see if it wanted to leave but it only explored for a few minutes and walked right back in.

Nobody leaves food or water out for it but it does forage around the grass and the bushes all day. However, I’m wondering if it’s healthy. Does this turkey look normal? Emaciated?

Any input helps. Thank you!

Looks normal to me. Kind of young. It might feel safe in your yard. There's a flock of 13 that hang around my place. They're not bothered by me, but I haven't got as close as you did to take that picture.

Thank you for the insight, HenOnAJuneBug. My lack of knowledge made me a little worried but I’m glad it’s ok. It does allow us to get close but not enough to interact with it. (Little does it know we’re actually more afraid of it then it is of us. :))

Thank you, again.
