Hi there,

Trying to work out what breeds of chicken I have. All are just over 12 weeks old. I believe the first two are easter egger or ameraucana? Never had chickens like this before so not too sure. The blackish one is definitely a rooster. Included a picture of their tails in case that helped...

I'm fairly certain this is a cream crested legbar but the hair is throwing me as it seems longer than most:

Thanks!

Thanks!
The first is an Olive Egger roo. The second is a Salmon Favorelles, a brown egg layer. The third is an Olive Egger pullet. Welsummer x CCLB.

1st is a mix. Could have some Polish, maybe Easter Egger in there somewhere due to the pea comb. Second is a Salmon Faverolles. The third is a Cream Legbar. I see no reason to assume Olive Egger, especially with the large crest. If crossed with another breed, the crest would likely be smaller. Obviously this isn't always the case, but I would lean towards her being pure due to her already having a crest on the larger side. Egg color will tell later!

There is no CCLB barring. Her hackles are gold, not silver.

Cream Legbar females are not what I would call barred. Their color is crele with cream gene that inhibits the gold. Only males are barred. Crele females are not very obviously barred. As for the gold hackles, that's pretty common in the production lines. The gold crele is often mixed up with cream and they're sold interchangeably. If they're not from the Rees line, many times they're not cream. She's simply bred a bit more for laying rather than exhibition. Here's my hen who shows a bit of the gold in the hackles because I believe she has one copy of the cream gene rather than two and breeding her could create gold birds

Thanks for the replies! Hadn't heard of a salmon faverolles but delighted to have a new to me breed. Hoping it's a pullet along with the CCL.

Also have these 2- roughly 12 weeks. The first one loves to forage. Any idea what they are? Included two pictures for both.

I still don’t think she’s pure.

An Olive Egger for sure, and a Calico Princess or something similar.

Great, thank you. I tried to google them but nothing I came across seemed to match. Any idea if they are hens or roosters?

Lol, if these birds are from a hatchery, I’d say for sure that’s supposed to be a CCL. I’m not sure on the others, don’t have any experience with them. My golden crele Legbar is going to wind up looking similar with the gold hackles and the darker feathers over the rest of her body; on mine, the feathers have a bit more of an obvious crele pattern but that’s probably because she’s from carefully selected private stock and not hatchery quality. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with hatchery quality birds unless you’re planning on showing or furthering the breed and conforming to the SOP. 👍 be interesting to see what color eggs they all lay! :D
