Thank you, I will reduce the humidity. We originally took day one as the day we put them in but then we’ve changed it after reading up and adjusted the settings on the incubator.Set humidity between 45 -50, that will increase the air cell size. The air cells should be in the fat part of the egg, NOT the pointy end. Double check the temperature. If it's a bit low, it slows development.
Are you counting the day you set the eggs as day 1? Day 1 actually begins the day after you set the eggs.
To post any videos you have to upload them to another site ( like YouTube) and insert the link into your post on this site. They did yes, I’ve just been madly trying to read up on them and people seem to agree that it’s posting them that can cause them to saddle/detach
I’ve got two hatches in the go, the 6 that are only on day 2 we’ve sat upright in their incubator to help to try and correct them and the other 3 in the photos I will make sure I lay them air sack up as suggested in another post I read when we lock them down. The air sacks don’t move around they are just saddle shaped, the photos arn’t great I’m sorry and it won’t let me load the videos we have.
It is when part of the air cell becomes detached from the egg, giving it a saddled appearance. It generally means there is a low chance of the egg hatching, but you can prop the eggs up air cell up, which will give it a chance. Best of luck! What does saddled mean please?? Do I need to change anything I’m doing?? Sorry, this is my first hatch
Thank you, I did some reading last night and we’ve moved the eggs around. We’ve two batches at different stages. One set we’ve sat completely up on their point, they are only on day 2 (not candled yet but just in case) and the other 3 in the pictures I’ve tilted them and everything is crossedIt is when part of the air cell becomes detached from the egg, giving it a saddled appearance. It generally means there is a low chance of the egg hatching, but you can prop the eggs up air cell up, which will give it a chance. Best of luck!
Yes it sort of dips in the middle like a fancy letter UIt is when part of the air cell becomes detached from the egg, giving it a saddled appearance. It generally means there is a low chance of the egg hatching, but you can prop the eggs up air cell up, which will give it a chance. Best of luck!
