Unthrifty hen, now with egg laying probs

Hey all. Just wanted to give one more update. Jackie and the gang had ventured a great distance up one of our game trails, through the forest and over another trail to the neighbors where they were caught RUINING spring plants and newly mulched beds! After restricting their free-range time to an hour or two in the eve vs. almost all day, I think Jackie's eggs seem to be getting normal again! Coincidence? Nobody else had her issues, but maybe it wast just a lack of nutrition for her. Now, on to the weasel problem. Oy!

I hope your neighbor is not too upset.

Could be coincidental that her eggs are normal again, but I would suspect that she was not eating enough of the right things. Glad she seems to be doing better!

You have a weasel! Those are mean little critters from what I understand, it will kill. Do you plan on trapping it?
