Pretty sure those eggs did not come from the same bird as the one on the right appears to have a blue shell base, while the one on the left has white shell base. That can't happen in the same bird. One of my hens normally lays eggs about the size you see on the left of this photo. Today she layed the egg on the right. Is that unusual? It is for her. Anything I should be concerned about?
I think op is just saying the hen that laid the small green egg usually lays eggs the size of the brown one, not that she laid both eggs. Kinda like a "banana for scale" thing.Pretty sure those eggs did not come from the same bird as the one on the right appears to have a blue shell base, while the one on the left has white shell base. Ah, got it.I think op is just saying the hen that laid the small green egg usually lays eggs the size of the brown one, not that she laid botheggs. Kinda like a "banana for scale" thing.
Thanks so muchNothing to worry about! It's normal for hens (and pullets) to sometimes lay small eggs. They even have fun names like fairy egg or fart egg! Sometimes these tiny eggs l have a yolk just like a regular egg, sometimes they're yolkless.
It could also be a fairy egg. Is it heavy or does it at least have a little bit of weight? One of my hens normally lays eggs about the size you see on the left of this photo. Today she layed the egg on the right. Is that unusual? It is for her. Anything I should be concerned about?
