I have a bunny run that is rather large. It is a tractor. I was wondering if my three or four chickens could share the run with the bunny. Just during the day.

It might work with a mellow bunny and mellow hens

but how would you keep them out of each others food? I don't think a little either way would hurt, but rabbits need more salt then hens and hens need more calcium then rabbits. Too much food swapping either way could cause some health problems.

The chickens food would be out of reach for the Bun and the Bun only gets fed at night. At night both the hutch and the coop would be locked up.

Worth a try then. Wait for a nice day and take a book......Please update if you do it. I have a 7x11 dog kennel that I've used in the past so the rabbits can get some run around time in the nicer (grass not mud) months. I'm hoping to use it for a broody hen or two this year, but would love to let the occasional rabbit in there too.

we have a very tame bunny house pet and let the guinea pigs out to play with her.. they did fine the first time but when food was involved she tried to kill them.. i wouldn't leave them alone.. you never really know

We have angora rabbits and they "share" the chicken yard, when we let them out for exercise. The rabbits go "chicken bowling", basically they wait until the chickens all gather up, then go running through them, sending them flying in all directions. Otherwise they ignore each other. The chickens are allowed free range during the day, but locked up at night.

Ive left my toy poodle in there with the girls for good lengths of time. They mutually ignore each other for the most part. The dog is smaller than the chickens. Thats the closest to your situation I have come! I would say try it out!
