First coop question

I am new to having chickens and am about ready to buy my first coop.

I have a cement slab in my backyard area. And I am wondering if I could build my coop on top of this slab?
The chickens would have a run but would also be free range, during the day. Would there be any huge disadvantage to me building a coop on the slab?

I had a coop on cement. I liked because nothing could dig underneath to get in the coop. I never came across a con having it.

Nothing wrong with building it on a cement slab but also make it bigger than you think you will need.

Shouldn't be an issue putting a coop on the slab.

The only thing I would consider is to seal the slab with concrete "paint". As it is porous anything wet will leach into it make it smell and become a bacterial hot bed, it never comes out, ie dog kennels.
