Oh these are golden! Coincidentally, i had some 2x6s left from the rafters and floor framing and i came very close to going all out and doing a dutch door. These look spectacular! I am a huge fan of the barn aesthetic is the last door a barn style slider? Looks amazing!Your design is similar to the doors my hubby made in my coop. Very sturdy and stiff!

Kreg pocket jigs are just the most handy tool ever. I built my whole coop and run with one. Love the door!!Haha she is not done. Just the frame. I appreciate your kind words on the craftsmanship. I have been doing more and more projects lately with my kreg pocket hole jig. Many more projects to have fun with. Marley man is wearing a Ruffwear Web Master Reflective Dog Harness, in Blaze Orange. He is every but as helpful as he looks in comparison to his napping
.
TwoCrows, may I borrow your DH for about a week? Pleeeeeze?Your design is similar to the doors my hubby made in my coop. Very sturdy and stiff!

Rights? As i am steadily putting my workshop together and building tables and making plans for stands for equipment, this hand and clamp style jig is starting to get young for me. i might have to invest in the more professional jigs they offer as i build more and more stuff with the pocket hole method.Kreg pocket jigs are just the most handy tool ever. I built my whole coop and run with one. Love the door!!
The main body of the doors are actually cedar fence pickets, so not as heavy as 2x4s. They are resistant to weather and don't rot easily. They don't smell strong and have little odor so they are safe to use. Fence pickets used to be cheap to purchase, hence we built the entire coop out of them other than 2x4s for support.Oh these are golden!
