Quarantine is a good idea, if you can manage it. Otherwise, it is a risk to your other chickens.
As far as "honoring the person who has trusted you with their rooster", this person has not earned your honor. They dropped their problem on you, uninvited, without asking your permission, and without regard to the safety and health of the birds you already had. No chance for you to assess where the roo came from, and decide if this was a risk you were willing to take. "Trusting you" with their rooster? They're taking advantage of you, with their rooster.
