just curious MysteryChicken, how do you wash eggs while leaving the bloom intact? I always wondered if rained on eggs had the bloom preserved, but I always refrigerate those just in case. it would be good to know if those still have the bloom intact or not.
Unwashed eggs in a cool room beneath 18°C : up to 6 weeks.
I only wash an egg when I’m about to use it - many of mine are on the counter for 3-4 weeks with no ill effects. I also have Indian Runner ducks (3) who are profuse layers and their eggs seem to last 4-6 weeks. How long can you leave unwashed eggs out?
