I found one of my quail lying on its side alive but unable to stand up
Checked it over nothing obvious it flaps its wings ,breathing ok both legs move. But when i try to stand it up it just falls over
As a precaution have isolated it in to a separate cage. Fingers crossed it might recover

How old is it?
What are you feeding them?
Is it particularly thin?
What is your setup like?
Is it eating/drinking?
What does its poop look like?

On the meantime, separating it is a good first step. Keep it warm. I usually use a heat lamp. If it's not eating, try to get some Nutri-Drench into it so it has the energy to heal. Be prepared to lose it. If a bird can't stand, that's a pretty bad sign.

It's only 8 wks old ,one of eight I have in the coop
It was the same size of its fellow quail
It was feeding and drinking a day ago the last time I visited the coop
On high energy suet feed ,mealworms and wild bird seed the same feed all the others are fed
I must admit I don't think it will survive the night but time will tell

Diet may be part of the problem. Your feed is extremely high on fat and full of treats rather than the nutrients that a quail needs. If you can find a good game bird feed, that would be best. If you can't, try chicken layer feed and you can increase the protein with black solder fly larvae or boiled, crushed egg yolk.

Cut out the bird seed, it's junk food for them. Meal worms have protein, but are high in fat. You may start to see symptoms in your other birds if they don't get a proper diet.

Try giving your sick one boiled, crushed egg yolk. Good luck!

I even wondered if it was egg bound as two other birds have started. Laying today
I have been adding layers pellets to the feed mix and scrabbled eggs with crushed egg shells for extra protein and calcuim

Is she pooping? If so, she's not egg bound. If she is egg bound, give her some extra calcium, and let her soak in a warm (quail body temp or a bit above) epsom salt bath. This will help her pass the egg.

Sorry to report but after 5 days the quail died
On further inspection the only thing i could see was it appeared one of her toes had been damaged a part missing at the tip which makes me wonder if this caused her to be unable to stand upright or lead to an infection which caused her death guess i'ill never know
