How old are they, in months?
I let mine molt then start the lighting in mid December.

My ISA browns are 7 months old.... I am wondering why you wait till mid-december to start using light?

So my ISA browns are only 7 months old... Would you suggest I start adding light now or wait till mid december.

We are new to keeping chickens and I dont know almost nothing about molting cycles.

At 7mo they shouldn't molt this fall/winter, so you could add it now,....
....but....
most pullets will lay all winter without supplemental light,
especially high production birds like you have.
