UPDATE!!!1 st Egg :) my babies aren't babies any more.

Well they are all grown up. One of my 6 RIR started laying today.

I am excited but sad. I was shocked at how big the egg was. up till now our only layer was our bantnam hen. The size between the 2 is very obvious.

The egg was very large but odd shaped. Only four babies left. I prob. shouldn't call them babies anymore but you all know how it is.

UPDATE!!

That egg was a double yolker. My son was happy. But no more eggs from them

will they start again soon?

sometimes they may skip a few days. When my mom bought her barred rocks they just started to lay. we had eggs everyday. Then they stopped for about a few weeks then it came back. Also my silkies are 7 months old and I call them babies still lol. even though they are BIG babies
