Here's is a pic of the earlier hatches all in the brooder together.

You know, both of these chicks have black beaks and pink toes has a black comb. My other black ones have the light colored beak and combs!

They are cute!!

You have such a beautiful array of colors in the brooder!

They are my mixed mutts and it's fun watching them feather out!

I've added updated pics of the ones with the green post 1 pg 1, blue post 12 pg 2, and white post 20 pg 2 backgrounds.

First pics are new borns, second are 2 weeks old, and third are 1 month old. I will be taking 2 month old ones when they get there.

They have now moved out of the broader and into the whole grain room in the heifer barn. I have a fence I move them to outside during the day when weather and time are permitting.

newbie to chicks here...What breeds are they? I can't tell!

They are mutts! They are out of my Black sex-link and Brown sex-link hens and crossed with a Black sex-link roo. The sex linking only holds true for the first generation and after that they are mutts!

I've added the 1 month pics of the chicks in post 20. Those two spend the night and mornings in the brooder with the heat lamp yet. I put them in with the others in the afternoons when it's warmer.

My oldest ones will be 2 months on Wednesday. It is hard to believe how fast the time has gone!
