Update at 2 weeks. 3 different eggs, three unique chicks.

Out of curiosity, what did the seller claim they were?
I bet they are mixes of some sort. Suki actually has quite a few black marks- I tried counting them, roughly 20? It is impossible to see them, but I took a few other images.

I bought 6 eggs. Whats she said she sent was:
Olive egger (the green egg),
Easter egger (the pink egg),
2 white leghorns (the white eggs)
and one Marans (dark chocolate egg).

She was very non-de-script. I think she might get them from different farms in her area as she didnt seem to know much- claimed it was 'rainbow assortment'.

3 were not viable (they travel 3,800 miles- so I figured). What hatched was the chocolate egg, the green egg and the white egg. Hatching all together on Easter, it was hard to keep track as they kept wiggling around every time I turned my back.

But the white egg, that is the one that had the super short feathers and no covers (still has short tail, wings, etc).

Update: Day 27 (Just Shy of 4 Weeks Old)

All chicks have solidified their place as lap chickens. Rain has dominated the weather lately, so our routine has flipped: the parrots now enjoy a more hours in the aviary each day while the peeps take full advantage of the indoor space. Naturally, they’ve claimed the parrot stands — hand-carved from exotic wood — as their personal jungle gyms. Dimitri tolerates their shenanigans with cautious elegance, while Lucia… has opinions (both the large parrots who run the place).

Now about Suki. I’m still clinging to gender ambiguity, but the signs are growing clearer (and so is my denial). Hubby has made the executive decision:

"If it's a rooster, we're keeping her. She's too unique and too sweet"

To be fair, he’s not wrong. Suki’s temperament is golden, and if she — he — turns out to be a roo, she might actually help with integration into the Rhode Island Reds outside. A confident but calm leader could ease the social blending when the time comes.

That said, when dynamics change- I stumbled upon an excellent potential home for Suki down the line, should conflict or crowing volume tip the balance. It's reassuring to know there's a Plan B that feels like Plan A.

Here are the 4 usually suspects: (sorry about the lighting, it is pouring rain). Edit: In order: Gypsy Chick, Sumi (olive legs and muffs), Roo (white leghorn mix), and Suki (marans splash leghorn mix)
